The event will feature two panels and a wide range of experts and leaders from Malaysia, Vietnam, and the religious freedom policy space more broadly. The first panel will focus on the role of religious registration systems in restricting religious freedom for religious orders and individuals. The second panel will be focused on the rising threat of non-state actors in Southeast Asia. Both panels will draw lessons from the region for the rest of the world.

The event will also premier a short film produced by the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission titled Malaysia: A Fight for Freedom and Identity.

Refreshments will be provided. This event is open to the public.
