Michaela Scott

Michaela Scott studied International Relations and Spanish at Baylor University where she also participated in Model Organization of American States and a service sorority. She connected to RFI as an intern through the Baylor in Washington program. With an interest in human rights, RFI was a natural fit and she remembers being inspired by RFI’s commitment to religious freedom. “Water-cooler talk and working lunches are often where you get to see the heart of an organization, and our time was always spent discussing faith, life, values, and America, all through the lens of how we can work in and on our culture. To be included in these discussions as an intern was something very special.”

Following her internship, Michaela continued as a research assistant while finishing her last semester at Baylor. Having come to love the work and enjoy the staff with whom she worked, she returned to DC to serve in a full-time position at RFI. After serving at RFI, she accepted a position as Program Associate at Pan American Development Foundation.
