RFI held its premier Statesmanship and Religious Freedom Seminar in Washington, D.C. this week. Participating students explored the critical role religious freedom plays in a free and flourishing society, and the key historical figures who have defended it. Program activities included:
- Interactive sessions with religious freedom scholars and advocates.
- Immersive experiences at key D.C. locations, including the U.S. Capitol and the Library of Congress.
- Dialogue with government and civil society leaders working to advance religious freedom in the U.S. and around the world.
Key speakers included former Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback; Naedine Maenza, President of the International Religious Freedom Secretariat; Katrina Lantos Swett, President of the Lantos Foundation and Co-Chair of the IRF Summit; as well as RFI Interim President David Trimble and Director of RFI’s National Center for Religious Freedom Education Jim Bennett.
Most sessions were held at the Museum of the Bible and locations on Capitol Hill.
RFI’s Statesmanship Seminar is the centerpiece of our work to equip and empower the next generation of religious freedom champions.
