Title: Freedom and Faithfulness: A Catholic Guide to Religious Liberty
About: For Catholics, religious freedom is ultimately grounded in the Church’s teaching that “man’s response to God in faith must be free.” Far from a concession for Catholics, upholding religious freedom for everyone is part of what it means to be faithful to Jesus Christ and His Church. This resource is designed primarily to help Knights of Columbus college councils to explore the meaning and value of religious freedom, recognize how this freedom is protected in America, and identify ways to exercise it – as Catholics, Knights, and citizens.
Authors: Nathan Berkeley and Jim Bennett
Authors’ Note: Freedom and Faithfulness is the result of a partnership between RFI and the Knights of Columbus. We are grateful to our Knights colleagues for their guidance to ensure this resource aligns with the Knights’ COR framework, providing the graphic design, and offering critical input on key theological and doctrinal matters throughout.
