RFI Relocates Main Office to Pepperdine’s Washington, D.C. Campus

June 9, 2025, Washington, D.C. – The Religious Freedom Institute (RFI) is pleased to announce that we have relocated our main office to Pepperdine University’s Washington, D.C. campus, further strengthening our partnership to advance religious freedom in America and around the world.

Since 2019, RFI has been headquartered in the historic National Capital Bank building on Capitol Hill. While remaining on Washington’s storied Pennsylvania Avenue, RFI’s new address is: 2011 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 300, Washington, D.C. 20006.

“This move to Pepperdine further solidifies our growing partnership, which is based on our shared commitment to defend religious freedom for everyone and our shared conviction that education must lead the way in bringing about needed change in this area,” said RFI President David Trimble.

“I am delighted to see these two institutions, devoted as they are to the rigorous and principled defense of religious liberty, join forces in this visible way,” said Ambassador Sam Brownback, co-chair of the International Religious Freedom Summit. “We are already seeing the fruit of their deepening collaboration, in their joint contributions to the IRF Summit earlier this year in Washington, D.C., as well as their leadership in helping to launch our first regional IRF Summit in Africa later this month.”

“RFI has demonstrated transformative impact on shaping religious freedom policy and influence in the U.S. and across the globe,” said Danny DeWalt, Senior Vice President for Global Impact at Pepperdine University. “Pepperdine is honored to partner with RFI and to punctuate that partnership by integrating our offices for heightened effectiveness.”

Restoring religious freedom to its proper place in American society, and securing due protection for it abroad, requires educating current and future leaders across the academy, civil society, and governments as never before. The RFI-Pepperdine partnership is dedicated to meeting that need in the years ahead.

The Religious Freedom Institute (RFI) works to secure religious freedom for everyone, everywhere. RFI is a non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, D.C.
